How To Clean Hp Omen Laptop Fan

Communication on fan cleaning - new hp omen 15

Hello guys, the fans on my relatively new hp omen 15 have a off-white scrap of dust in them that I can see from the outside of the grill.

I have ordered some compressed air but apart from that any tips? Whatsoever other items I should be using?

I have cats that shed alot of pilus so I expected to clean it peculiarly with the big grills on the bottom.

Just dont want to f**yard the affair up.

Use an air can over a vacuum. Vacuums build up a decent corporeality of static, static that tin very hands short your laptop. Why take the risk
Don't cover your fans with a filter. I was thinking of the same thing when cleaning my fans, just from what I've found it does more harm than good. Laptop fans actually have enough pressure to straight air over the heatsink with no obstacle and OEMs have already designed for that. Even something as small-scale every bit putting a filter would increase the pressure needed to overcome for airflow and will make your laptop overall run hotter.
Best style to maintain is to but get a stand up for your laptop. Inceases general admission to air for amend airflow, leaves it above your desk-bound which naturally let'due south less of the constantly accumulating dust to suck in.

That and cleaning your desk down once every couple of weeks should do you well.
